We are a listed company's complex because of the diversity and racial mixture, but always tried, especially in presidential election season, to test our nationalism or, as understood by many, our love for the nation and its development. Currently in Latin America, and it's not crazy to think we hear constantly the idea of creating a popular social forces united by one idea of love of country, but always taking into account that the nation is made up of people share a separate identification of subjectivities, deficiencies, lack of opportunity, discrimination, etc.
We are talking about nationalism formed by people in terms of Benedict Anderson in his book Imagined Communities, living in a homogeneous time with the sole purpose of development of their society and their rights as a state - nation.
But what can unite these people? Or why the author dared to think that there may be groups or homogenous masses?
The key is, in terms of Freud and Gustav Le Bon in their respective psychologies of the masses, in the collective imagination, which are nothing more than images components which include a general image that identifies these individuals generating consensus and even a sympathetic understanding of how well they can feel at the other end of the country, or even alien to it, without having to know or identify - because they live in a homogeneous time -.
This impressive human ability to interact and create a unified society almost impossible physically, but mentally, and distributed only through the language, writing and printing.
One of the key points of history and nationalism is its narrative structure dominated selfless sacrifice for the nation of heroes slaughtered by the same and on behalf of freedom and equality of classes utopian.
And this story that generates emotion in cidudadanos structured on linguistic signs.
But is not the only side showing nationalism, because it is difficult to think that people with economic power, both past and present, to invest in a popular cause, and I mean printing of books with such content, as is said: "The power is always in the masses, but not to the masses" and if the means of domination began to be questioned, as was the case with religion and dynasties in the past, should take measures to persuade and manipulate.
There is an "official nationalism", or a pseudo-nationalism, which is responsible for using the popular concepts in favor of personal interests, obviously to hold power for many years, as is common among the "nationalist official "today.
This shows us that true nationalism is not politics but on the streets, in the "social education" in the family, action, reasoning, I think for this reason as complex one can not feel nationalistic in the true meaning of the concept, while the initiative emanates from the policy or of any capital.
"The concept of nation is based on subjectivity, it may be that in the physical realm we live under foreign influence, but internally can be intact and respect as a nation state."
